I have not been around for almost a year now. This is because of an accident. As seen by my pictures I’m a north east girl who loved to go camping, rock crawling, racing accross the desert in southern CA, shooting… you name it, if it was fun I tried to make it a part of my life.
That all ended on June 15th of last year. I took my Ducati Monster out for a ride with my husband, that is when it stopped. I hit 3 tree’s and a telephone pole. It was truly an accident, slipped on some sand and punched the throttle. (As if I was on a dirt bike/4 wheeler). I woke up a month later, not knowing who I was and in complete disillusion. With 4 breaks in my back, a pelvis that was broken in half, the right arm was broken 3 times and now have a steel bar in there, fractured skull, missing the front left lobe of my brain, a hole in my right hip where the handle bar was stuck in me and broke all but 4 of my ribs - collapsing my right lung and puncturing my left lung a few times.
A med-flight to one of Bostons best hospitals later, I was in surgery for days. Cut in half, as I ended up breaking my liver and losing a kidney. They left me open for 4 days, as they could not stop the bleeding. 44 units of bloods later (only 7.5 in a human body) I made it.
Alive and covered in scars/road rash//shaved section of my head and some physical disabilities, I am back.
I loved Tumblr. Watching all the people I follow and getting some great idea’s on trips and things I want to do with my life. Now I just have to tone down what I do, but I am looking forward to seeing every ones posts again. I don’t know if I have any followers anymore, but maybe someone will read this.
Just wanted to say “Hi” :)
